Summer camp week 3

July 19, 2019

Friday: Today for lunch we had fried rice-noodles and sweet and sour chicken. You can choose if you want rice or not.

The JK kids had baking today. The teacher made the dough and the kids got to press it flat. Then they baked it and we ate some. I got two 🙂

They also got to make paper airplanes with the GOOS paper (good on one side).

Summer Camp Day 3

July 4, 2019

Not much has been happening, it’s usually the usual. The kids eat, we watch youtube videos, they learn some characters, we go to the gym, they come back to the class, keep playing, have a snack time, and then they leave.

But sometimes some funny things happen.

There’s a pair of twins in the class. Their names are Jalin and Jasmine. They both don’t close the door when they go to the washroom. Once a boy even almost went in before we stopped them.

Sometimes the boys also don’t wash their hands and we have to remind them. >.<

But they are a really fun class to watch over.

Summer Camp Day 1

July 2, 2019

Today was my first day at Summer Camp. In the afternoon, I was supposed to accompany the JK and SK’s as they waiting for their parents to come pick them up.

They basically just played games the whole afternoon. It was me, my sister Rose, and about 5 other people.

At one point, on of the kids (who were twins) just sat down and combed her hair with the comb she won. However, she was wearing braids. So we tried to convince her to only brush her bangs, but she didn’t say anything. We asked if anything was wrong, and she stayed silent. We asked her sister to help her but she didn’t want to. Until her parents came, she just sat down with a teddy bear combing her hair.

Also, a lot of times the kids wouldn’t close the door. Once, a volunteer let the child in the washroom, but he went to tell the guy to close the door but he was already peeing, so he quickly shut the door. Another time, a kid went in and another kid wanted to go so he opened the door, so then a volunteer had to drag the kid out and close the door. (Just a note that they are only kids.)
