Test Kitchen At The Library

When: July 31 2014

Where: Carling Wood library

Why: Test kitchen event

Today, me and my sister went to the library to do an event called “Test Kitchen in the library. I will list you how to do “Gak” :

  • Water
  • Florid
  • Glue mixed with water
  • Food Coloring
  •  A Cup

First of all, pour the Florid into the water. Then mix well. Then put the food coloring into the cup. Stir  well. Then, pour the cup into the glue. Stir well. Then put the florid mixed with water into the glue. Keep on stirring then you will make Gak. You can use Gak like clay. Except be careful that it doesn’t get any hair or sand on it, cause it will be hard to take off. An other tip: If you  stretch it too much, it will break. That is the end of the ingredients and how to do it. We also got to bring it home. 🙂

Chamber Fest 2014

When: July 30th 2014

Why: Bring in the kids event

Today we went to the Dominion-Chalmers United Church with Amy, Faye, Zoey, Faye’s mom, and of course, my sister Rose. All the pieces they played are composed by Mozart. They played a violin, a viola, a cello, and a piano. Mozart is still famous now.  Mozart lived during the 17s, which is a long time ago. He lived in Europe, before he met a girl that he loved, called Constanze. After some months, I think he got married. When he got married, he said that Constanze was his love of his life. He also composed songs for her. Because he loved her. I play the piano too. I used to play a song called ” Minuet in F Major” composed by Mozart. 🙂 Mozart’s full name is ” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart “. Such a mozarty day.

Kanata Leisure Wave Pool

When: July 28 2014

Where: Kanata Leisure Wave Pool

Why: To go swimming with our piano teacher and her daughter, Amy. 🙂

Today, at 1:30 to 3:30, our piano teacher would bring us to the Kanata Leisure Wave Pool to swim for the second time. We already went there for a birthday party, and went there with our piano teacher. If you don’t get it, don’t panic, I will tell you. 🙂 I went there with my sister to a birthday party at the Kanata Leisure Wave Pool, and my piano teacher brought us there before to swim, so this our 3rd time being here. Now, you have to pay to swim, so to proof you payed, they will give you a bracelet to wear. But don’t worry, it’s the one you can cut off, so you don’t have to wear it for you’re whole entire life. For the birthday party, you have to do the swim test. You have to swim from the not so deep end, to the really deep end without stopping. And you get an other bracelet to proof you past the swim test. The bracelet has some green circles that kind of look like happy faces. If you don’t pass, you have to go to the shallow end when the waves come. If you hear a big sound that sounds like a horn, it means the waves are going to start coming. If you go to the shallow end, it is actually way amusing than the deep end. You know why? Because the waves are just like the waves you see when you’re surfing, but smaller. And it’s stronger. Here’s a picture:

And so yeah. It was a slippery day. (Even if I didn’t fall)

Zicheng’s Birthday Party

When: July 20 2014

Where: At Zicheng’s house

Why: For his 9th birthday 🙂

Right after Alice’s birthday party we went to  Zicheng’s house for his birthday party. First, we played MONOPOLY. If someone doesn’t want to play, then they call “Free Money” and everyone will go and get how much money they can. Then, we ate pepperoni pizza from Pizza Pizza. I ate one slice because there was going to be cake of course. Then, we hit the pinata. My sister Rose gave me one of her Rice Krispies. Then,  on the Xbox we played Kinect Adventures. It was fun!!! Then, we sang happy birthday and he has 6 girlfriends! It was a Fun Day!!! 🙂 🙂

Alice’s Birthday Party

When: July 20th 2014

Where: Lazer Quest

Why: For Alice’s birthday party

Today I was TOTALLY busy I could mot go for 1 more thing. Well, maybe. 🙂 🙂 I will tell you why. I woke up at 9:34 and so I had to go down-stairs to eat my breakfast. I HAVE to tell what I had for breakfast that wasted time. “Rice with milk”. And by now with all these clues, you should know that I hate eating rice with milk contained in it so guess what? I whined about it. Cause it was complete torcher! But I ate it anyway. Afterwards, I played piano. We usually play 45 minutes but because we were busy, we only had to play 30 minutes. 🙂 🙂 Then, at 12:53 we left because my dad had some groceries to do. Later, when we paid, we got on the car and went to Lazer Quest. When we got there, Alice was not to be found, so my sister asked the front desk and they said that Alice has not come, so we had to wait more. After 3 more minutes, Lily appeared. She said she was here an hour ago, so her dad brought her to Time Hortons for a little snack. Then after a little while, about 6 minute after, Alice’s step-father came with her mother, and then her dad came in with John, (Alice’s little brother) that came in with Alice’s step -mother. We asked where was Alice and they said that she would come in in about 10 seconds. While we were waiting for everyone to come, we played a game called ZAP. It is basically SQUIRT, but you say “zap”. And for back-to-back, it was me against my sister, Rose. And guess what? I won!  Come on,  let’s look on the bright side. There is a prize, so I won a stuff toy. Then, when everyone was here, we got to start playing! After 2 rounds, we ate fruits and cake that Alice iced, and then went on Emily’s car to drive us home. 🙂 🙂

To be continued on the blog called:

Zicheng’s Birthday Party

Jessica’s Birthday Party

Where: At the Human Society

When: July 19 2014

Why: For my friend Jessica’s birthday party

Today, me and my sister went to the Human Society for Jessica’s birthday party.  🙂 🙂 When we got there,  everyone was sitting in a circle.  Then after I saw a rabbit. I mean 2 rabbits. So I joined them with my sister. And guess what? Both of the rabbits pooped! 🙂 🙂 We got to pet them, touch them, and after a while, someone who works at the Human Society said that Jessica had to pick up the poop ( Not with her bare hands) with some tissue paper. Then we got a tour around the Human Society. There were places where cats are lucky because they have a mini playground to play on. Animals do need to be feed, right? So they had a kitchen of course. They have a laundry and a surgery room,  they also have somewhere to play with cats! There are rules too:

Use the hands sanitizer every time you go in a room and go out. But if you just came out of a room, you sanitize your hands and go in an other room.

5 people allowed in the first room on the left facing the door from the outside, and all the other rooms can only contain 3 people counting  the other people. In the room that can have 5 people, only 5 children can go inside, adults don’t count.

Do not lift the cats up. If you do, they might scratch you.

If the door is locked, of there is a note where it says their name or on the door, it means the door isn’t locked but you can not go in.

I first went in the room with 5 people allowed. When I visited all of the rooms, I said to one of my friends that all of the cats are cute. We headed back to the room to eat. Alice got 4 watermelons She finished 2 when I was still on my 1st. For lunch dessert, I got ice cream and cookies. They tasted good. After when we were finished, we went outside and played The Great Wall Of China, and octopus. A few minutes later my dad came and we got our loot bags and went home. 🙂 🙂

Block Party At The Library

When: July 17 2014

Where:At the Carling Wood library

Why:An activity called Block Party

Today me and my sister went to the CarlingWood library for an activity called Block Party.First, we had a choice of making our own Lego character. I chose making up my own character. I drew Lucy from The Lego Movie. Then, I built a rolling home. I found a pair of wheels and blocks to build a house. Zicheng brought a marble and made a rolling maze. Faye made a mini maze that is hard because you have to balance the marble on the blocks. My sister Rose constructed a room where you work. My grade 5 lunch monitor Azad was also there. Later on, I got bored. But luckily Tania (Someone who works at the library) announced that if you are bored, you can play Lego bingo. And guess what, I won the first one!!! 🙂 🙂 But sadly, there was no prize. But it was fun! 🙂 🙂

But we had to walk home.
