Oh my gosh it is finally Halloween! Like the previous year, I dressed up as a baseball, and my sister, Rose, dressed up as an emoji. Both costumes were made my mother using the old yoga mats we had. This year, we decided to go with April, our best friend. She had to bring Arthur, her neighbor that also goes to our school, so he came too.
April and Arthur finally came! April was a graveyard bride and Arthur had an emoji mask.
First April decided to play piano for fun, and we started drawing on the whiteboard. April, who could draw really well, decided to draw a “masterpiece”. Not the Mona Lisa kind, but those stick-men with mustaches and eyes in different directions. After a while, Arthur drank half of his apple juice, and we started playing the water bottle flip. We played first one to 12, 10 and so on. I one a few, and it pretty entertaining while playing. April was like “How do you do this?” then she flipped the bottle and it actually landed! We all laughed, but I find it that she laughed the hardest. Then we ate a few pieces of pizza from pizza pizza (tongue twister!) that had cheese, sauce, and pineapples on it! But sadly my father forgot to order ham on it. We also had cheetos too!
We put on our costumes and headed outside to meet Emily, who called the other day to ask if we could get candy with her. Outside, we met Zicheng, with his brother and sister Ziheng and Ziyi. Zicheng too, he called to ask if he could go trick-or-treating with us, and we accepted. So we were going in a total of eight people! Zicheng was an I-pod, Ziheng was a “shadow” (he was supposed to be a ninja but forgot his “accessories.”) and Ziyi was a cute dinosaur. We went trick-or-treating along the way to Emily’s house, and there’s this one house that gave us Miss Vickie’s chip bags along with the big bars of chocolate. I got the large pack of snickers, and Rose got Twix! She was so lucky!
0ur group finally got to Emily’s house. For Halloween, she was dressed up as the one and only cookie monster! We apologized for having already started to start trick-or-treating, but she seemed to not have minded. We continued along our way, until our bags got pretty full so we went back for a washroom break and to get more bags to fill our candy with. We decided to play a harmless prank. We decided to ring the doorbell and say trick-or-treat all together but my father seemed to have seen us coming and opened the door before we could ring the bell. When we entered, we ate a few of our candies, and stuffed ourselves on cheetos. We headed back out.
For some reason, Emily and her parents stopped trick-or-treating, and so we all said good-bye to her. We got a lot of candy and I felt pretty bad because she was the last one to start and the first one to go.
Finished trick-or-treating! While my father sent Zicheng, Ziheng, and Ziyi home, we played water bottle flip. But I came up with a better idea. We all put some candy in the middle, and then first one to flip three times could have the first pick and could choose one candy to keep. Arthur was really generous and put in chips, tootsie rolls, and even his Pringles! I put in a few candy April liked, such as kitkat, and I generously “donated” popeye candy sticks.
April’s mother came to pick April and Arthur up, so we said good-bye to them, gave them their candy and left.
Another Halloween is over!
